Palmer

George Palmer and his wife, Polly Surrett (from Virginia) moved to Cataloochee in 1838. George had a brother named Jessie.Below is information on some of their children:

Elizabeth; married Jack Vess; lived in Cataloochee

George Lafayette "Fayte" (b. July 17, 1836 d. 1910); married Nancy Jane Colwell (Levi Colwell's daughter); they had 12 children, the information below is all I have available at this time:

Jarvis Linton; married Velma Childers

Harley; never married

Maria; never married; was the post mistress

Jessie (b. June 28, 1835 d. September 8, 1895); married Mary Ann Rogers (b. October 7, 1834 d. June 11, 1914); they had 13 children, the information below is on one of their children:

William; married Milia Caldwell; their children are: Glenn, Bill, Pauline, "Creek" George (married Alice Cumi Caldwell), Hattie and Gudger
